My summer (blog) break is over – it was way longer than I thought it would be…! It was also a break from drawing and painting. Actually I thought to enjoy summer in Zurich, but we had a miserable season, except of 3 sunny weeks in July… and now a feel of autumn is round the corner already…

I love the time round Christmas and New Year, Zurich is not so crowded, most people left for a holiday (of course, except downtown, you can't get through...). For me it's a good time to visit a museum. There is an interesting group exhibition in the Museum Bellerive about silhouettes - a variety of amazing and outstanding work. Among many other pieces Charlotte Mcgowan-Griffin's and Yuken Teruya’s work caught my eye. This little tree cut out of an ordinary paper bag... magic.

… and then back in my studio, of course I had to take a sheet of paper and scissors… childhood memories...
