This past weekend we followed accidentally and without any expectance a small sign in the country "Today Flea Market". I found this extraordinary (American!) set for block printing in the (Swiss) middle of nowhere. I would really love to know how it came there to the farm house many years ago...
Balint Zsako. I admire his work. It’s delicate, so perfect to me, full of beauty and unexpected details. If you are in Berlin you can visit his current show at Wilde Gallery.
After almost two years not using this blog I think the moment is finally here to start it. It's a moment I hope to find more time to get deeper into ideas I carry around and to share some of them. One of them is not a new idea, but an everlasting love of mine: printmaking – to smell the scent of the etching ink, the moment you turn the sheet to see what came out, the surprise, tainted hands... works in progress…
My name is Iris Schwarz. I'm an artist/illustrator/graphic designer living and working in Zurich/Switzerland. Old, vintage things are my passion, I love the beauty of imperfection, traces... poetry... and I’m always in search of simplicity. Paulette Edition was set up in 2007 - my label for prints, illustration, small editions and pieces of original fine art.
